Academic Decathlons 

One of the most well-known academic competitions is team and individual academic decathlons. Both the team and individual competitions come with ten different events to test their knowledge on a variety of topics. Academic decathlons are available to high school students between 9th - 12th grade and are available on a local, state, or national level. The competition covers major topics like math, science, and literature and combines a number of approaches, including writing, multiple-choice, and public speaking. Students are required to meet a certain GPA to be eligible, making it important to maintain strong grades each year. 

Conrad Spirit Of Innovation Challenge

If you are interested in an academic competition that focuses on real-world problems around the world, the Conrad Spirit Of Innovation Challenge might be a great fit. The competition has teams of two-five students who work as a team to help solve some of today’s biggest challenges while working as a group. It is a great opportunity to showcase your critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The Conrad Spirit Of Innovation Challenge is open to students between 9th - 12th grade and is considered a national competition. 

National Academic Championship - Questions Unlimited

If you thrive in high-pressure moments and are skilled in answering questions in competition, consider the National Academic Championship - Questions Unlimited. This competition provides an opportunity to highlight what you have learned in high school while competing for prize money. The competition covers a variety of different topics and is available to students between 9th - 12th grade on a national level. 

Odyssey of the Mind

If you are a student that enjoys a challenge, consider looking at the Odyssey of the Mind competition. It focuses on creative problem-solving for different problems around the world. Like the other competitions, it is offered to students between 9th - 12th grade and is available on a local, state, and national level.
